Ken and Carol Lindstrom purchased an existing mobile home community in August of 1965 and changed the name to Oak Lawn Estates. They immediately began renovating the park, implementing stricter rules and policies and building the reputation that Oak Lawn is known for today. As they acquired more land, they annexed to the Village of Morton obtaining city water and sewer. During this time their young sons Mark and Matt began mowing yards, planting trees and learning all aspects of the family business.
 
Over the years Oak Lawn continued to grow and improve with the design and development of wider streets, curbs and gutters, and the addition of their own cable system. Due to the improvements, the Lindstroms received numerous awards from manufactured housing factories and suppliers. Today, 42 years later, Oak Lawn continues as a family owned and operated business, three generations strong. Oak Lawn is the highest rated manufactured housing community in Central Illinois providing comfortable and affordable homes in a meticulously maintained community for over 500 families.
